So you have an idea that you and your team of University Park Penn State students think you can turn into a business but need a few dollars to get started? The Lion LaunchPad could help you blast off!

The Lion LaunchPad Microgrant is offered to entrepreneurial student teams to help them get up and running with initial expenses. Total team grants are up to $500. These funds can be used to purchase materials to assemble a prototype, for design and coding services, licenses, applying for a trademark and other similar expenses.

Our goal is to get your team set up for one of the many business competitions at Penn State, and ready to apply to the Happy Valley Launchbox Fast Track or Summer Founders Programs. For more information on Penn State’s many entrepreneurial assistance services, see the Invent Penn State resource navigator.

We are here to help. To apply, fill out this informational form that tells us about your team and your business idea. If you want to discuss your application or have questions, contact Ted Graef, Director of the Penn State College of Engineering Engineering Entrepreneurship Program at jtg150@psu.edu.

The Lion LaunchPad is supported by the Engineering Entrepreneurship Program in the Penn State College of Engineering’s School of Engineering Design, Technology and Professional Programs (SEDTAPP).
