Penn State York student entrepreneur creates all-inclusive dating app

Penn State York business major Mary Richardson did not plan on creating a dating app, she said. However, she was determined to create something that would be "label-free" and provide a service to all audiences — especially those who might not feel represented on other dating apps — and moved ahead with the help of York Launchbox powered by Penn State and other resources.
Graduate researchers aim to focus battery research with help of short course

Penn State’s entrepreneurship educators gather for annual conference

The 2022 Penn State Entrepreneurship Educators Conference on Nov. 4 brought together 75 faculty, staff and other collaborators at the recently opened Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub in State College. The annual conference, now in its 10th year, is organized by the Center for Penn State Student Entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor launches ambassador program

The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Minor launched an ambassador program this semester to help promote the minor to fellow students. The ENTI Student Ambassador Program will hold its first event on Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub. The event is open to all current Penn State students interested in learning more about opportunities available within the ENTI minor. Pizza will be provided and ambassadors will be available to answer questions and discuss how the ENTI minor can fit into students’ studies.
Professor completes entrepreneurship-related Fulbright in Botswana

Penn State Associate Professor Anne Hoag recently returned from Botswana, where she served as a Fulbright Specialist. She spent six weeks at Botswana International University of Science and Technology focusing on entrepreneurship education.
Students leverage entrepreneurship minor in job interviews

Graduates of Penn State's minor in entrepreneurship and innovation said that interviewers frequently honed in on the ENTI minor on their resumes, and their classroom experiences helped them prepare to talk intelligently about business skills and terminology.
